For my future career I want to become a Physical Therapist. So for my career field research, I interviewed Jan Abustan. He is a physical therapist that works with the elderly. He went to school in the Philippines. Two years into college he figured out that he wanted to become a Physical Therapist. He told me that there is a lot of reading and studying that goes into this career. He also stated that while in college he did a year of different internships. I asked him how he went to school, and he said he went to school for Five years. I also asked him what were the most interesting and challenging parts of his job. Jan Stated that the patients that he has are very different which makes them interesting. Another thing that Jan stated is that some of his patients have dementia which is a challenge. Some patients have some trouble answering certain questions, which can be another challenge. What I took from this is that I have to be patient, and I have to be a people person. I also have to be engaged in schooling and study hard. There's so much more I need to learn, but eventually I'll learn!
